Mine would be watching Islamic lectures, reading Al-Quran and discussing with like-minded friends about Akhiruzzaman. What's yours? :)

My life seems to go through a roller coaster ride where I have times when my iman is strong and then there are times I get busy with college work or other wordly matters and pay less attention to strengthening my iman.
But then I've realised whenever my iman levels are a bit low, nothing boosts it like listening to a good lecture by one of my favorite sheikhs*. It just brings everything back into the right perspective and focus and I can re-prioritise my life into putting the concerns of the next life before the concerns of this world which is so difficult these days when you're constantly worried about doing well in college to get the grades and not fall behind etc. etc.

*which is usually Sk. Hamza Yusuf or Sk. Abdul Hakim Murad, they're such blessed, special and level minded persons, there are very few other sheikhs I've listened to which speak with such clarity and awareness of the human condition in the current modern perspective.
Because of a long, difficult and very intensive college year, by the end of year my Iman was pretty much down to zero. I was so engrossed in college work as I had to pass all my exams and such, that I had pretty much put aside my faith. But then the vacuum that had filled inside me caught up by the time of my exams at the end of the year and I seriously needed a boost in faith. Then I came across this lecture and it was just what I needed to bring everything back in the right order and start filling back the void that had developed inside of me...

Excellent topic sister, perhaps we may gain some ideas from other brothers & sisters to help us with our own iman.

Mine is definitely praying fajr at the mosque, contemplation and qiyam ul layl (praying the additional prayer at 2am).

Like you, I also love my lectures particularly by Nouman Ali Khan. His tafseer in some of his lectures just makes you fall in love with the Qur'an.

Looking forward to hearing from the rest of you insha Allah

Bro, just as long as your intentions for why you're pursuing that area in your studies is fi sabilillah, He will always have your back, insha Allah. :) I'm beginning to follow Sk. Abdul Hakim Murad as well now after watching a few videos you've posted so JazakAllah khair for that!

Masha Allah, indeed, brother! I used to think that it was enough to just read the tafseer when I read the Quran until I watched one of his videos on the Quran. May Allah bless these scholars always and that they will continue to share the wisdom given unto them to all of us, Ameen!

There are a lot of 'Imaan boosters' for me, but my absolute 'Imaan booster' is the thought of this moment:

Please take yourself these 9 minutes and be overwhelmed, Insha'Allah.

Especially when I think of this part:

Quote:
And when they are like that, all of a sudden a light shines that encompasses all of Paradise. So, they raise their heads, and, behold: the Compeller - Exalted is He, and Holy are His Names - has come to them from above them and majestified them and said: 'O People of Paradise! Peace be upon you!' So, this greeting will not be responded to with anything better than: 'O Allaah! You are Peace, and from You is Peace! Blessed are You, O possessor of Majesty and Honor!' So the Lord - Blessed and Exalted - will laugh to them and say: 'O People of Paradise! Where are those who used to obey Me without having ever seen Me? This is the Day of Increase!

لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله

This moment I can't tell you with my simple mind and words how much it means to me, Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alamin wa salatu wasalam ala Seyyidina Muhammadin wa ala alihi wa sahbihi ajma'in, please shower Your Mercy and Forgiveness on us and let us be among 'Ahl al-Jannah' and let us see and hear 'The Most Beautiful Of All Laughes'. Amin!

là ilàha illà ALLAH

as_salàm 'alaykùm,

what a pleasant reading on this blessed discussion ... al Hamdù li LLAH

ALLAHi jàzikùm al Khayr, and Ameen to these delighting Dù3à

it is indeed inspirating to share our personal ways to boost our Imàn, by ALLAH's Permission
... and important is also to notice that we can only find that we inevitably share on common the same main deeds to boost Imàn ... being repeatedly said Fadjr Salàt at Mosque (if possible), Qùr_àn reading ... it's important to notice it because that's exactly what makes us Brothers ... RABBI KABIR

for to share my personal testimony with you, i irreparably can only repeat what is already said here, because it's also true for me ... exactly because we have our CREATOR on common, and SùbhànaHO, we come closer to HIM through the same ways ... the ways that taught us our Prophet that we have in common as well ... for Believers, normally, that makes already a lot ! (in common)

Salà ALLAH 'alà an Nabee Mùhammad

you reminded me good stages of Imàn in my life more than a decade ago ... during Ramadan for Fadjr Prayer at Mosque, freshly woke up by louds Adhàn (morrocco!), prostrated to ALLAH swT close to your Brothers for several minutes ... what a quieteness ... as Sakeena .... a feeling that is actually in Herelife surely not reachable through another process and/or means ... là ilàha illà ALLAH

... and through Quranic readings or Science seeking, Prayers ... Humankind can reach a self-sufficiency ... hasbùnà_LLAHi wa ni3mà_l_Wakeel

what a great present ...

so, [sorry to dare long posting !], i have also ways to feel my Iman boosted proper to me !

kinda of meditating on ALLAH's Blessings on me and mine (my kids); more generally the world here where we live in, the perfect ways in ALLAH's Creation that all has been created in harmony ... reminding the Death, the ALLAH's Punishment as well as His Mercy in His Forgiveness to have prepared such a Reward for His Believers ... being the Paradise ....

... and concidering that i will meet ALLAH swT ... and how it is recomforting to know that our CREATOR is pleased to meet His creature who is wishing his self to meet HIM... ALLAHù AKBAR

i love meeting and approaching people with the firm belief that ALLAH swT created them; it is a way that i find my Imàn boosted in invoking HIM during meetings ...

an example! i worked in paris as kind of luxury taxi; in early morning, i went pick up my first guest of the day, being in advance to the appointment, i was thus waiting in the car; when i saw outside a roadsweeper whose beard was beautiful (!), guessing that he was a brother even older than me i decided to go greeting him by a warming brotherly's care intention in giving him my Salàm and smiles ... when immediately after my smiled Salàm, i noticed on the road just in between me and him a 20 euros bill ... i indicated it to him in order to let him take it for his credit ... believe me, it was a struggle to let him not share it with me, he insisted in his stance and i did too !
a roadsweeper mà shà ALLAH while i was wearing a costume, driving a luxury car ... i finally got the last word ... but ALLAH swT on this day had His own ! sùbhànALLAH, for the last guests of the day, the very same day, i decided to help my guests, a daughter with her mother, in carrying their lugages, when i found on my way 10 euros ... sùbhànALLAH

loving people, seeing ALLAH's Will through people is a great way to boost Imàn i believe ... another summarized personnal anecdote:
i planned to please the heart of a Mùslim old blind beggar in underground that i met, to finally say to him, that in Afterlife all kings and dictators, presidents and corrupted rulers, will be under his foots for Judgment Day exactly because of the serious trials he've crossed in his herelife ... etc

on the other hand, i have regrets to have not fasted enough outside of Compulsory Month and six days of sha3ban ... meaning three days per month, being a doping imàn booster ! ... anyhow for the regrets part, that would transform this post in another one even longer !!!

Khayr inshà ALLAH

to conclude, i pray ALLAH swT amidst you Brothers, in asking HIM to let me die at the point of the apogee of my Imàne in my Herelife that i never reached before

thanks for this inspirational topic.

may ALLAH swT gather us all behind Prophet Mùhammad (sA'aws) in the Judgment Day

Life, for all of us, has always been a constant struggle to just strengthen and fasten that Imaan of ours. Sometimes it goes up and stay comfortably for a while and sometimes, it just plunges down instantly without us even knowing why. Perhaps Allah SWT tested us with something, be it a test where there is nothing happening or that so many things are happening at once. He SWT wants to see whether or not we still have that focus on Him or not. Are we still remembering the purpose of our existence or that we are too carried away by the seemingly good worldly purpose? When our imaan goes low, the best thing to do is to bring that up. Perhaps through this test, Allah SWT wants us to improve ourselves. Say the range is from a minimum level 0 to a maximum level 7. Instead of having a constant level of 3 throughout the year, He SWT tested us from level 3 and then to level 1 but goes up to level 4 or 5. Yes, even if our imaan level goes down, but He SWT made it that way so that we could improve our imaan more, inshaAllah!

I know what you mean. I just LOVE lectures from Brother Nouman Ali Khan, mashaAllah! He is one of those speakers who never fails to make me listen to his EVERY word. Alhamdulillah, His message has been conveyed through this brother. May Allah SWT bless him and reward his efforts in spreading this beautiful deen, Ameen ya rabb!

And yes, I'm also looking forward to hearing from the rest of you, keep it coming! :)

Indeed. These 5 daily prayers tend to be overlooked by most of us. They're actually what holds our imaan together if it's performed sincerely for the sake of Him. Without the remembrance of Allah SWT as well as Our Beloved Messenger SAW, our imaan would be useless. JazakAllah khair for the reminder!

I definitely can relate to what you have experienced. I was disturbed by them too and subhanAllah, by learning and understanding some of the verses from the Quran (for protection from any evil beings) made me to learn more about Him and His Greatness. I believe this is one of the ways of Him to level up our imaan, inshaAllah. It's indeed a blessing in disguise. He SWT knows best!

Yes. JazakAllah khair for the makers of The Arrivals series. They have indeed opened my mind and heart too. May Allah SWT bless them and reward them endlessly! Ameen!

Amin!

MashaAllah, great share ya akhi!

This part really teared me up:

"Where are My servants who used to obey Me without ever having to see Me?"

:allahuak2:

Definitely a good imaan booster! :barak:
