Obviously no one here have actually tried South-American food!

Chupe
Hallacas
Arepas
Platanos with caramel and cloves
Pizca Andina
Empanadas
Tequenos

And so on...! :):) NONE of them being able to be found here, what a shame...some of it.. but it does not taste the same!

Algerian food!! come on we invented couscous and don't let Moroccans tell you otherwise 8-)

I don't think so mister! We all know it's Moroccan.

Even Moroccan dinosaurs ate couscous on Friday...

I sometimes wonder if couscous was not inherited from Atlantis, thanks to the Amazigh populations :ugeek:

i've travelled many countries and have tried all types of foods but Turkey has it all, thier food is just too good! secondly english fish and chips and thirdly pulao rice with yoghurt raita!

if you havent been Turkey, go! its good, the food is nothing like the turkish restaruants outside turkey apart from the two in Madinah! you have to go Turkey to appreciate the food!

Okay here is a video of how to make a Mensef, which is a traditional Jordanian dish. Everyone wants to invite you to a Mensef, when you're in Jordan it seems. Good times.

Now moving to Egypt, this soup is traditionally Egyptian, but it is wide spread in the Middle East, in Lebanon for example, the Mulikhya leaves are kept larger, or not finely chopped, unlike the Egyptian finely chopped style.

I prefer the finely chopped, and it's delicious. It's usually eaten with roasted chicken on the side, however other meats are sometimes used, with a rice on the side, and a fresh squeeze of lemon juice in the soup.
