I think what the brother is talking about is small kiddy tricks :P , we can't really call that magic! Altho i wouldn't advice spending time on it! Real magic is totally forbidden in islam, and it's not something which can be easily practiced, it consists of extreme terrifying blood rituals, with alot of terrifying supernatural activity involved, basically devil worship!

"And when there came to them a Messenger from Allah confirming what was with them, a party of those who were given the scripture threw away the book of Allah behind their backs as if they did not know. And they followed what the devils gave out falsely of magic of the reign of Solomon; for Solomon did not disbelieve but the devils disbelieved, teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two angels Harut and Marut, but neither of these two (angles) taught anyone (such things) until they had said: we are only for trial, so don't disbelieve. And from them (magicians) people learn that through which they would cause separation between a person and his spouse, but they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah's leave; and they learn that which harms them rather than profits them. And indeed they knew that its practitioner would have no share in the Hereafter. And how bad indeed was that for which they sold their own selves if they but knew" (2:101-2).

im curious of the term magic. If anyone got something like when they train so hard of their inner soul, and make themselve bullet proof, is this consider as magic? or like someone got an ability from his training to move weapons remotely, is this consider magic also? or just magic using jinns can only b haram?

Don't worry about it bro. Small tricks or mind tricks aren't "magic", they're just entertainment. The type of magic that's haram is witchcraft, where you're literally working in communion with entities via cross-realm communication.

I believe it is so..

As King Solomon, once found out that Devils were teaching People to use magic, and was banned. Whomever break the rule will be executed.

While reading the book "The Rite", they stated that "there is no difference between white and black magic"..

And another thing, didn't Prophet Muhammad told us to live always moderately? gaining magic, connotes an assumption of gaining power over others.

Don't do it! In some restaurants you'll find that they sell something called "alcohol-free" wine. It's under the wine section but it doesn't actually contain alcohol. You wouldn't be comfortable drinking that though would you? This is the same idea, trying to make magic/deception look cool.

Salaam, as has been said before, what you are doing is not Magic so is not Haraam. BUT why should you imitate that which is Haraam? In this regard, perhaps you should avoid it.

Yeah, you got a point..why should we imitate which is Haraam? instead turn ourselves towards the path in which we do not "Imitate", we do not deceive, but Achievable.

That's why it is forbidden, because God made us equal to one another. Satan will desolate this by empowering one--giving an assumption of one is more overwhelming than other.
