Mashallah, I see this as a good sign even though the muslim ummah that is aware of the importance and history of Muharram and what happened in Karbala is in a state of mourning.
This guy is beginning to show emotion and for me is the first prime minister to be doing something out of thier "norm".
May Allah guide him.

Cross reference with the Youtube video description;

This video provides information on the description of the Helpers of the Mahdi (rad), and on the status of the Twelve Imams of Ahlul Bayt in light of the teachings of some of the greatest Naqshbandi and Qadiri Shaykhs in Islamic history including Imam Rabbani Mujadid Alf Thani Ahmad Sirhindi, Shaykh al-Akbar Muhiuddin Ibn Arabi, Khwaja Muhammad Parsa, Muhaddith Shah Wali Allah ad-Dahlawi, Sultan ul-Awliya Mawlana Shaykh 'Abd Allah Daghestani, and Mawlana Shaykh Mehmet Nazim Adil al-Qubrusi the current GrandShaykh of the Naqshbandi Tariqat.

Relax; this information did not come on a silver platter; it was not easily understood to many....

[THE MOST GLARING POINT HERE IS; YOU HAVE TO ADMIT THIS PRESENTS A GENUINE OPPORTUNITY FOR REAL UNITY OF THE MUSLIM UMMAH]

Are we really seriously doing anything towards this?? The many discussions even on WUP does not seem to reflect this spirit.....I'm sorry to say that.

For this unity to happen; Imam Mahdi CANNOT come from specific Mazhab (sects).....for he is a MUJTAHIDUN MUTLAQ

I suggest everyone to look (meet all 3 of them) for these people from the 3 PARALLEL GOLDEN CHAINS. Which Silsilah again:

- Sayyiduna Abu Bakr As-Siddeeq (this is the Naqshabandi Silsilah)
- Sayyiduna Ali karamallahu wajhah (this is the 40 Qadiri silsilah - Rifai, Shazuli, etc etc)
- Sayyiduna Ali karamallahu wajhah thru the line of the 12 IMAMS (this is the Shia')

The Silsilah of all 3 meet at Imam Jaa'far As-Sadiq radiallahu anhu and starts with Rasulullah sollallahu alaihi wa alihi wasallam.....

I am bumping this VERY RELEVANT thread from bro Sayyid Haamid:

Post subject: IMAM MAHDI IS ALIVE: From Sunni Scholars
viewtopic.php?p=83597#p83597

sayyid_haamid wrote:
There are some 126 Sunni Scholars who have written in their books that Imam Mahdi was born.

Of these, 112 have written very clearly that Imam Mahdi was born in 255 AH and he is the son of Imam Hasan Al-Askari.

Here are a few that I had time to translate:

1 - Mohammad Ibn Talha Al-Halabi Al-shafi’i in his book: Matalib Al-su’ul fee Manaqib Al-Alrasool. He says (P.88): “... the Mahdi the Hujja, the Muntathar (the awaited)... as for his birth, it was in Sare Man Ra’a (Samara City in Iraq)...”.
He also said: “The Mahdi is the son of Aba Mohammad Hasan Al-Askari, and his birth was in Samara...”

2 - Mohammad Bin Yousef Al-Konji Al-Shafi’i in his book: Al-Bayan fee Akhbar Sahib Al-Zaman. He says (P.336): “The Mahdi is the son of Hasan Al-Akkari, he is alive and present, remaining in a disappearance until now.”

3 - Mohammad Bin Ahmad Al-Maliki (aka Ibn Al-Sabbagh) in his book: Al-Fosool Al-Muhimma. He says (P.273, chapter 12): Abul Qasim Mohammad the Hujja, the son of the pure Hasan Al-Askari, was born in Samara in the middle of (month of) Sha’ban in the year 255 AH...”

4 - Sibt Ibn Al-Jowzy Al-Hanafi in his book: Tathkiratul Khawas. He says (P. 363): “... and his sons (i.e sons of Imam Hasan Al-Askari): Mohammad the Imam.” Then he said under another chapter about Imam Mahdi): “He is Mohammad the son of Hasan the son of Ali... and he is known as Abul Qasim, and he is the remaining Hujja, Sahib Al-Zaman, Al-Qa’im, and Al-Muntathar (the awaited)...”

5 - Ahmad bin Hajar in his book: Al-Sawa’iq Al-Mohriqa. After mentioning Imam Hasan Askari, he says (P. 127, Egypt Print 1308H): “And he had no children save his son: Abil Qasim Mohammad the Hujja, and his age at the death of his father was 5 years, Allah (swt) gave him wisdom...”

6 - Al-Shabraqi Al-Shafi’i in his book: Al-Ithaf be Hoob Al-Ashraf. He says (P.178): “The 11th of the Imams is Hasan the pure, nicknamed Al-Askari... and it is enough honour for him that the awaited Imam Mahdi is of his children...” Then he said: “Imam Mohammad the Hujja, the son of Imam Hasan the pure, was born in Samara, in the night of the middle of Sha’ban, year 255...”

7 - Abd Al-Wahhaab Al-Sha’rani in his book: Al-Yawaqeet wal Jawahir. He mentions the signs of Judgement Day, such as the arrival of the Mahdi. Then he says (P.145): “And he is (the Mahdi) of the sons of Imam Hasan Al-Askari, and his birth was at the night of the middle of Sha’ban in year 255, and remains until he gathers with Isa the son of Mary (pbuh)...”

8 - Abdullah ibn Mohammad Al-Mutairi Al-Shafi’i in his book: Al-Riyath al-Zaahirah. After mentioning the Imams, and Imam Hasan Askari, he says: “His son is the 12th Imam. His name is Mohammed the Qa’im Al-Mahdi...”

9 - Sirajul Deen Al-Rafi’i in his book: Sihah Al-Akhbar. He says: “As for Imam Hasan Al-Askari, he brought the man of the basement, the awaited Hujja, the Wali of Allah (swt) Imam Mahdi.”

10 - Behjat Afandi in his book: Kitab Al-Muhakamah. He said in mention of Imam Mahdi: “He was born on the 15th of Sha’ban year 255, and his mothers name is Narjis...”

11 - Al-Hafith Mohammad bin Mohammad Al-Hanafi Al-Naqshabandi in his book: Fasl Al-Khitaab. He said: “As for Abu Mohammad Hasan Al-Askari, his son is Mohammad (May Allah be pleased with them both), he is known by his close companions...” Then he mentioned his birth in mid Sha’ban year 255 with th description of Lady Hakimah the daughter of Imam Jawad.

12 - Sulayman Al-Qandoozy Al-Hanafi in his book: Yanabi’ul Mawaddah P.449-452.

13 - Al-Shablanji Al-Shafi’i in his book Noorul Absaar P.185

14 - Ibn Khulkanin his book Wafyat Al-A’yaan

15 - Ibn Al-Khashaab in his book Tareekh Mawaleed Al-A’imah

16 - Abdul Haq Al-Dahlawi in his Risala about the Imams

17 - Mohammad Ameen Al-Baghdady Al-Sowaidi in his book Saba’ik Al-Thahab

18 - Ibn Al-Wardy in his Taarikh (history) book

And so on.

The likes of Ibn Arabi and Ad-Dahlawi; those are 'giants' in Islamic scholarly history....who are we compared to these great men of Allah? I leave you with this very relevant Hadith for Believers to ponder;

Quote:
Imam Muslim narrated from Abdullah bin ‘Umar who said that the Prophet (saw) said,

“One who dies without having bound himself by an oath of allegiance to an Imam will die the death of one belonging to the days of ignorance (Jahiliyah)”.

Ahmed and Ibn abi ‘Asim narrated that the Prophet (saw) said,

“Whosoever dies and he does not have over him an Imaam, he dies the death of Jahilyyah”.

Unread post Re: Real Moves towards a Common Ground
I am bumping this thread as I see a need for this thread to be read and re-read by some of our members.

I was away for about 3 months. When I came back, I saw 3 negative traits:

1 - Increase in posts inciting sectarian hatred
2 - Increase in "Iranophobic" posts
3 - Increase in posts with profanity

Read carefully the words of Allah (swt) to you my brothers and sisters:

And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah (i.e. this Qur'an), and be not divided among yourselves , and remember Allah's Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren (in Islamic Faith), and you were on the brink of a pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus Allah makes His Ayat (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.,) clear to you, that you may be guided.
[3:103]

And He has united their (i.e. believers') hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have united their hearts, but Allah has united them. Certainly He is All-Mighty, All-Wise.
[8:63]

Allah (swt) wants the Muslims to be united. His enemies seek to rip this Ummah apart and cause division and fitnah.

Which side are you on?

Let it be known that those who try to divide this ummah are it's worst enemies, and those who try to unite it are it's best allies.

As salaamu alaikum, brother, good to see you again. Excluding all ayahs and surahs, this statement is probably the best one I've read on this forum yet. A lot of people should really give this some hard thought.

Assalamualaikum brothers and sisters,
There is only Islam, no Sunni, no Shia no etc. Just the Quran and Sunnah. Others are man made. It happens when our beloved Rasulullah SAW passed away. The connection between Allah SWT guidence to man is gone which leads us to ashtray. Unite. Make peace. Tolerance is a virtue. People have opinions. History will always be defined differently. People have different perspectives. Why the heck cursing-killing-back stabbing each other anyway? Whats done is done. Its a new world for us now. New challanges just arrived at the door. We are not the dominating super power anymore. That was the old days. Good old days, when darkness shuts itself in fear of us. We are merely ants these days. So I'd say enough already with this labels anyway. Unite. Remember the true teaching of Islam. Do that and consider yourself included among the "Ummati" uttered by Rasulullah SAW in his last breath. Because its not easy doing things he wanted us to do in this era. Earn yourself this privilege

In fact, if u read above it is written by brothers that we already knew it. But this fatwa was declared so that everyone comes to know of this because we had been accused of doing so and so. And this was done by some of Shia which was and is then generalised to the whole shi'ism.

May we always be on the side that continues to strive towards the unity of Muslims...

the goal is to be done with this struggle so we can move on to face the world in the best manner... to heal ourselves from within before we can play an active role in healing the rest of the social diseases this world is facing...

Great to see you back and active Sayyid, I especially miss the green quoted Quran texts that only you constantly use, each time bringing forth an aya that is relevant to the topic at hand :)

Ask yourselves. Does God want us all divided, or united?

I admire Seikh Hassan Nassrallah.

although I am a sunni muslim and have heard a lot about Shiaa and their practices. I have come to discover that there is only one sect that is on the straight path.

Not Shiaa and not Sunni.... Only pure MUSLIMS. Taking any extreme will tear us apart. Our true victory will come when we succeed in removing these labels that divide us. And Muslims are uniting no doubt about it. The important question is.. Are you doing anything to bring Muslims closer together?

Can the admins create a dedicated topic for that subject ?

Love to my brothers & sisters from Egypt...

Muslim forever
