Please make dua for brother Invision. I did not know until I read a past post from him that he suffers from duchenne muscular dystrophy, a painful condition that makes it hard for him to move.

May Allah ease your suffering and reward you in the hereafter, ameen.

Thumma Ameen

Wallahi bro, Invision is my genius... I love that bro so much.

Yes, he cannot move from the neck down, and he can only move his hands... having said that bro, I admire him because he never complains about his condition, and he doesn't let it stop him from leading a life of normality. I mean, did you know that without bro Invision, I would be a bit lost in making the sacrifices? He has single handedly taken over all the after effects work for me. I give him the brief and he makes sure it is realised.

Truth be known, he's someone I admire so much and have so much respect for, I can't put it in words.

He is always in my dua's.

Ah yes my lil bro. He holds a very special place for those close to him, he has a heart of gold! Masha Allah. Never hesitates to give you his time and is truly very dedicated at the things he chooses to do. Admirable character :) Dunno what we'd do without him, he's held many of us together and in one unit during times if turbulence, thats putting it very short. JazaakAllahKhair for all of your dedication dear Akhi! Ur always in my duah's.

Masha-Allah. That's what I really like about him bro Insha - he's is loyal and never gives up on us. And for one so young, I have the utmost respect for him. I don't know anyone who has a bad word to say about him, we are all full of praises for brother Invision, and rightly so - he has proven without a doubt that he knows the value of the word brotherhood, and has even taught me a few lessons in humility by me observing his conduct with those we mutually know. Respect to the max!!!

I'm not trying to make you have a big head, by my heart swelled when I read the post that indicated your condition... I never realized your strength until then, at least I thought until I read your last post.

May Allah grant you relief and ease brother, ameen.

It reminds me of an online friend from back before WUP, when achernahr, noreaga, and I were viewers of TADS 1 on YouTube... there was a friend in our circle known as "chocolatelabsforever" who turned out to have muscular dystrophy (I think it was). She never complained about it so we never knew it, until much later.

Good news for you, brother Invision.

Wallāhu Yuĥibbuş-Şābirīn.
And Allah loves the patient.
[Qur'an 3:146]

The Messenger of Allah, Allah bless Him and grant Him peace, is reported to have said: "No calamity befalls a Muslim but that Allah expiates some of his sins because of it, even though it were the sting he receives from a thorn." [Bukhari, Interpretation of the Meaning]

And He, Allah bless Him and grant Him peace, is also reported to have said:

"No Muslim is afflicted with harm because of sickness or some other inconvenience, but that Allah will remove his sins for him as a tree sheds its leaves." [Bukhari]

"The magnitude of the reward goes along with the magnitude of the affliction." [Tirmidhi]

"The believing man or woman continues to have affliction in person, property and children so that they may finally meet Allah, free from sin." [Tirmidhi]

Good news for you, good news for you. May Allah keep you, and us all, steadfast, patient and resistant against all our problems and ordeals and use them as means to wipe away our sins. Even if As-Sabur bestows an atom of the patience of our Liegelord Prophet Ayub [upon whom be peace and blessings] to us, its more than enough. Ameen.

You're in my prayers too insha Allah. May your trial be a purification for you...

Wal-Hamdulillahi Rabbil-'Alamin.

"O Allah! Confer blessing, and peace, and bounty upon the Light Distinct and Without Ambiguity, Your Servant and Your Beloved, our Liegelord Muhammad the Trustworthy, and upon His Folk and His Companions, and make us true in his love, ennoble us with his nearness, and make us of his beautiful fellowship, O Lord of the worlds! O Allah, confer blessing and peace continuous and everlasting, upon Your Beloved, the Best of the Entire Creation! And Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds."

Assalaam Alaikum,

I have a special request to make from all of you. Please keep brother Invision in your dua's... he is feeling more and more tired and his condition is gradually getting worse. He is now on specialised breathing equipment, subhan-Allah.

I'm not sure what you all know about Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy, but it's a horribly crippling condition and renders one totally dependant on the will and mercy of others. The brother hasn't even reached 20 yrs of age yet. Please keep him in your dua's... please.

Dua of a muslim for another muslim

On the authority of Umm Darda (May Allah be pleased with her) it is reported that Prophet (Peace be upon him) said:

“…the dua of a muslim for his brother (in Islam) in his absence is readily accepted, and an angel is appointed to his side, whenever he makes a beneficial dua for his brother the appointed angel says “Ameen and may you also be blessed with the same”

[Muslim]

Explanation:

Because of the abovementioned hadith, whenever the Companions of Rasullullah(saw) (May Allah be pleased with them all) asked Allah for something and they really wanted it, they would ask for the same thing for their brother/sister in Islam.

Consider this Hadeeth of the prophet (pbuh): The Prophet (pbuh) said:

"Whenever you make a supplication for another believer and he is not present, an angel will say ‘and same to you.’"

Dear brothers and sisters: Trials, tribulations and challenges are part of every person’s life. However, to counter that, Allah has provided us a very powerful tool – and that is the tool of du’a or asking Allah for help and his mercy when we need it. And we need it all the time…. Equally importantly, we forget at times that Allah has also provided us the opportunity to dramatically increase the effectiveness of our own Dua’s by encouraging us to make dua’s for other brothers and sisters in Islam. Consider this Hadith by the Prophet (saws):

“The supplication that gets the quickest answer is the one made by one Muslim for another in his absence.” [ Reported by Abu Daw’ud and Tirmidhi]

“Verily your Lord is Generous and Shy. If His servant raises his hands to Him (in supplication) He becomes shy to return them empty” [Ahmad, Abu Daw'ud, Tirmidhi]

In a Hadith narrated by Abu Hurayrah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “In the court of Allah, there is no greater thing than Duaa” [Ibn Majah]

There are benefits of making Dua including:

1. The loss of arrogance - For someone that makes constant Dua, arrogance is something that is not among their characteristics because when one beseeches Allah, he is affirming his own powerlessness.

2. The fulfillment of the Dua – You get what you wanted. For the people that sometimes see that their Duas are not being accepted, there is either the option that the Dua will be accepted later on in this life or in the Hereafter or the option that the Dua will accepted by other means as one Hadith said, Jabir narrates from the Prophet, “Whoever does duaa to Allah, Allah fulfills his seeking or in exchange averts misfortune until the duaa is not related to sin or breaking some relation.” [Tirmidhi]

3. The doors of mercy are opened – Abdullah bin Umar narrated that the Prophet said, “For whoever the door of Dua opened, for him the doors of mercy are opened...” [Tirmidhi]

4. It has the power to change destiny (only the minor Qadr – not major ones such as the signs of the Day of Judgment) – Salman Farsi narrated that the Prophet said, “Dua turns away destiny and good deeds lengthen age" [Tirmidhi].

There are certain things that one should keep in mind concerning the Dua:

1. The Prophet once said, “Dua is Ibadah” [Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, and Abu Dawud]. Since it is a type of worship, it is something that we must always do. This is even to the extent that the Prophet said, “Allah is extremely displeased with the person who doesn’t do duaa to Allah” [Tirmidhi].

2. As mentioned before, the Dua must always be done. Nowadays, we only say our Duas when hardship befalls us and is the last resort, when all else has failed. However, this should not be the case as the Prophet (saw) said, "Whosoever desires that Allah answers his Duas in unfavorable and difficult conditions, he should make plentiful dua in days of ease and comfort.”

3. Try making Dua for others because if you do so, the same thing may also occur to you too. There are certain ayahs in the Quran such as the last Ayah in Surah Nuh, the meaning of which is, “O my Lord! Forgive me, my parents, all who enter my house in Faith, and (all) believing men and believing women: and to the wrong-doers grant Thou no increase but in perdition!” If you are to recite this verse, then you get a sin erased for every Muslim living in this world. Also, the Prophet said, ”Duaa for a person not present is accepted quickly by Allah”.

4. Have complete conviction that Allah will accept the Dua, because if you don’t, then there is a high chance it won’t be accepted. The Prophet said, “When anyone of you does Dua then don’t say “Oh Allah! Forgive me if you want“, “Have mercy on me if you want“, “Give me subsistence if you wish” rather believe completely that HE will do whatever HE wishes. Nobody can force Him.” [Bukhari]

5. The best times to make Dua is when one is in Sujood, the times between Adhan and Iqamah, as well as at other times as indicated by the following Hadith in which the Prophet said, “Three types of people’s Duas are not rejected: 1) At the time of Iftar the person who has fasted 2) Adil ruler’s Dua 3) The Dua of the oppressed. Allah raises the Dua of the oppressed on the clouds and the doors of heaven are opened for it and Allah says, “Oath of MY Majesty and Honor! I will help and aid you. Even though if the help is after few days.” [Tirmidhi] Another Hadith listed another three in which the Prophet said, "Three Duas are such in which there is no doubt of their acceptance: 1) Father’s Dua 2) Traveler’s Dua 3) Dua of the oppressed”. [Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah]

May the above information strengthen your resolve to make more Duas and may it benefit you in many ways. Ameen…

... Please keep brother Invision in your duas,

Scimi
