YEP, RAMADAN'S APPROACHING! 8-)

So, what are your guys plans?

Are you going spiritual?

Perhaps have a 'to-do' list of religious stuff?

Maybe its to cut down on materialistic things?

How are you going to spend your 30 days?

Asalaamalaikum,

Alhamdullilah, yes another ramadan around the corner. May we live to see it Insa'Allah!

Like any year, trying to use it to the max. We need power, and the month of power is approaching, how convenient :)

Like your avatar btw. Is that a mountain in the background? :P
Wasalaam

Hahaha, nice escape :P

Yep and totally agree with you on that.

We should definitely try and make the most out of every second that passes.

I plan on doing the most drastic religious reinforcement yet. I often undergo phases of religious improvement, to the point that I pray 5 times a day, stay FAR away from all major sins, and fast 2 times a week, but occasionally I have lapses in which I dress in something attractive to the eye. I am a woman and wearing bright colors and large jewelry is not the best thing for me. I usually just stick to the black hijab/abaya thing but sometimes brightly colored clothing is a temptation for me :D

Anyway, this Ramadan I hope to make every bit of it count and I hope it will be the best and most rewarding Ramadan of my life, inshallah. This point of my life, nothing in the dunya truly matters, and all that matters is my afterlife, and that is what my ultimate goal is, Jennah. I don't care about any worldly achievements, only that I take care of my family and my deen, and help the poor, and help the environment, and stay away from corruption.

Abu Sa’id al Khudri Radiyallahu ‘anhu reported Allah’s Messenger Sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam as saying, “Every servant of Allah who observes fast for a day in the way of Allah, Allah would remove, because of this day, his face farther from the Fire (of Hell) to the extent of seventy years’ distance.”
(Muslim)

Abu Huraira Radiyallahu ‘anhu reported Allah’s Messenger Sallallahu ‘alaihi wasallam as saying: Allah, the Majestic and the Exalted, said: Every act of the son of Adam is for him except fasting. It is done for My sake, and I will give a reward for it. By Allah in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad, the breath of the observer of fast is sweeter to Allah than the fragrance of musk.
(Muslim)

The Prophet said, "Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven; and whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven."

Assalamu'alaikum w.b.t~

Alhamdulillah! The fact that Ramadan is coming ever closer is probably the only reason that time is moving faster nowadays. I also have a feeling that it is going to be bigger than usual, Allahua'lam~

As for myself, this is the first time I actually have a pre-Ramadan iman improvement list, alhamdulillah. I understand as well how much temptation one has to face in order to attempt to improve oneself. I pray that we will all be reunited with the blessed month in a much more improved state than before, that we'll be able to use it to the max, and that it'll be the best one yet, Ameen!

Alhamdulillah for this amazing forum. :)

It'll hopefully just be a typical ramadan, where you generally live your life as if it's Ramadan and then when Ramadan is over you go back to living life as if it isn't Ramadan anymore. You understand?

W/Saalam.

Euh, what's your idea of a 'Typical Ramdan'.

The blessings you receive in this month, for even one Saalah, is worth 70 times more than it actually is.

Every day should be treated as if its Ramadan, therefore you should try to make the most out of it as much as you can.

Who knows if you'll even live to see the next one.

Part-time Muslims don't/shouldn't exist.

Ramadan should be a training programme, to increase your Taqwa.

Wa;alaykumas salaam bro

Indeed, many muslims just go masjid and taraawih only for one month and it's a pity that on the day of Eid itself the masjid are crying again. Inshaa ALLAH we keep on our effort after ramadwaan and Inshaa ALLAH may we be rewarded by ALLAH even for our smallest atomic actions that we'll perform during this most precious month. Aameen

The First 10 days are of MERCY

The Second 10 days are of FORGIVENESS

The Last 10 days is FREEDOM FROM THE FIRE.

Hope your guys Ramadan is going well -since its the first Friday of the Blessed Month & InshAllah Allah's mercy/forgiveness will continue to descend upon you all.
